Dragway Rush Classes


***Unless otherwise stated, all classes are slick/drag radial, 1/4 mile and quickest average***

Big Tire (BT)

Rear wheel drive, any bodystyle 

Tires wider than 275 or 10.5” slick


Small Tire (ST)

Rear wheel drive, any bodystyle

Tires no wider than 275 or 10.5” slick


Tiny Tire (TT)

Rear wheel drive, any bodystyle

Must retain factory wheel tubs

Tires no wider than 235 or 9” slick

Hard Tire (HT)

Two wheel drive, any bodystyle 

No slicks or drag radials

No mud, snow or all terrains

Hard tire only class

(Must be summer or all season tires)

Minimum treadwear 200


Heavy Hitters (HH)

Any vehicle drive type, tire size or bodystyle

Must weigh minimum 4000lbs in race trim without driver

(Amendment - All participants must provide a weight slip during tech inspection.)

Additional ballast weight is allowed, but must be run in the vehicle for entirety of event.


Naturally Aspirated (NA)

Any vehicle drive type, tire size or bodystyle

No power adders


Super Street (SS)

Full bodied vehicles with full interiors 

(Rear seat delete allowed)

Must use OEM panels with exceptions for bumpers, hood and trunk. Hood and trunk must be hinged (function as factory intended)

Direct bolt in suspension components that use OEM mounts okay

No back or front halved cars

OEM seating position 

OEM firewall

All OEM glass (exception for backglass on pickups where rollbars extend rearward through rear window)

Any size tire, must not extend past OEM bodywork, fully contained in OEM wheel tubs


Modified (M)

Full bodied vehicles with less regulations than Super Street

Must use OEM panels with exceptions for bumpers, hood, trunk and front fenders

No one piece front clips for bodywork (lift off, tilt or otherwise)

Non OEM suspension okay

Back halved cars okay

Bolt in aftermarket front k members okay

No tube chassis front clips, must retain majority of OEM chassis/frame

OEM seating position

Modified firewalls allowed


All Wheel (AW)

Anything powered by all four wheels. AWD or 4x4 

Hard tire allowed with a maximum treadwear of 340 on ALL four corners


Front Wheel (FW)

Anything powered by solely the front wheels

Hard tire allowed with a maximum treadwear of 340


Leaf Spring (L)

Any vehicles running a factory style solid axle, longitudinal rear leaf spring suspension setup

“Slapper bars” or Caltracs allowed


Modern Swap (MS)

“Classic” bodied vehicles equipped with a swapped in modern engine (LS, Coyote, Hemi, K-series, etc.)

1989 and older bodystyles

Roll bars allowed, no roll cages

Full interior (rear seat delete okay)


Gear Jammers (GJ)

Anything with an H pattern true manual setup

(clutch assisted shift)


Nostalgia (N)

Anything with a straight axle up front

Bodystyles ‘67 and older

AND

Any cars that left the factory with “fins” or earlier model years (early 60s-ish)

considered case by case

AND

Ford trucks model 1960 and older

GM and Dodge trucks model 1959 and older

Other trucks considered case by case

‘Cycles (C)

Any and all motorcycles

Hard tire allowed

All riders require Snell approved helmet on track regardless of E.T.

Daily Driver (DD)

No rollbar/cages 

Full interior

*Motorcycles also allowed in this class

Drivers are aiming to have the tightest spread over the 6 timeslips. 

Ties broken by reaction time average

Hard tire allowed with a maximum treadwear of 340


Tailgaters (TG)

Any drive type, “trucks” only 

(pickups, SUVs, vans and utes considered)

No slicks or drag radials

No mud or snow tires

Hard tire class only

(Must be summer, all season or all terrains)

Minimum treadwear 200

No rollbar/cages (excluding bolt-in bed light bars)

Full interiors 


Midnight on Marketplace (MM)

Any drive type, tire size or bodystyle

Total vehicle value should not exceed $3500CAD excluding safety items (tires, brakes, etc.)

Hard tire class only Slick or drag radial allowed this year.

All vehicles must be vetted and valued at sign up in order to qualify by Dragway Rush staff.

This class is to showcase you don't need 1000hp to have a good time with some buds at the races.

As such it shouldn't be taken too seriously.

Outlaw (O)

Any drive type, tire size or bodystyle

1/8th mile “run what ya brung” heads up no time event.

.400 pro tree, pro ladder, round based elimination.

Must submit 2 timeslips from each of the first 2 sessions and complete drive to 3rd session to

qualify for a quick 8 shootout during second half of 3rd session.

Qualifying times will be an average of your 4 timeslips.

If less than 8 cars, then all run.

Racers outside top 8 are welcome to make fun runs during 3rd session.
